Scanning Tunneling Microscope - Do It Yourself began at Kantonsschule Wettingen as a Maturaarbeit which is a half a year lasting project every high school student in Switzerland has to complete. It is an important aspect of our project to make our work available to other amateur STM builders. The website contains mainly practical information and impressions but does not include the different attempts required to achieve our final results. A full documentation is part of our paper, also treating some relevant theoretical aspects of scanning tunneling microscopy.

Nacht der Forschung

On friday, Nacht der Forschung (Researchers' Night) is going to take place in Zurich. We are glad to be part of this event and to have the opportunity to present our project to a wide audience.
